Introduction

Hi! I'm Avery, an incoming third-year undergraduate at UW-Madison in the Applied Mathematics, Engineering, and Physics program with the eventual goal of becoming a crazy physics professor. My primary interest is in plasma theory and computation but physics is a vast and wonderful subject and I'm always looking to explore new areas. I've created this blog primarily to share awesome results in physics that have very few resources online around them. I want as many people as possible to understand and enjoy my articles but physics is inherently a very math-y subject. Thus, I will try my best to explain thoroughly any math beyond Calculus 2 and focus on the qualitiative aspects of the science. I also am interested in a bit of music journalism and lifting content, I'll write about them when I feel like it. Whether you are a fellow physicist or a random friend of mine who never wants to think about math again, I hope there ends up being something of value for you.

My life story

I grew up in suburban Minnesota in the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan area. Life before COVID-19 is uninteresting, I just watched YouTube and kids shows all day. If you talk to me in real life though, you know I love referencing things from this time like Naruto and Pewdiepie. When everyone went on lockdown, I became an annoying /mu/core kid who would just sit in his bed and listen to albums from front to back. I mean like really annoying, I got banned from the YouTuber deep cuts' Discord server. That love of music led me to join band in high school
